was a foggy and cold morning. I had the heater on in my car. 8:30 am & my
car stopped at a red light near CP. And the show started , One boy around 10
year of age played the drum, the girl who was barely 8 was the main actor and
one more girl who sat on the side was
even younger. All three were like skeletons , hardly any flesh on their body.
The girl did the gymnastics on the road side. A few jumps here and there. Then she took out a
ring , the younger girl held the ring and the elder one jumped thru the ring.
Her body was flexible like rubber. She did the Chakrasan and the younger girl
carefully stood on her stomach.
All people enjoying the warmth of their car , were
bewitched and fascinated by what was going on out side. Red Light was still on
, both the girls finished their show & started moving to cars for some
alms. People inside the cars were kind enough to give them few coins. Traffic light
became green & I moved on. What we all missed in the show was that these
children hardly had any woolen clothing in this shivering cold , Begging
is prohibited in India and every child
has Right to Education. I can not bear the heater in my car any more & switch it off.
