Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros Aaron Embry – Four Songs (solo tenor guitar)
Ojai, California-based singer-songwriter Aaron Embry has an impressive music resume. Over the last decade, he’s played keyboards with Elliott Smith, Jane’s Addiction, Daniel Lanois, Brian Blade, and Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes. Beyond being an incredibly talented arranger and pianist, he’s also one of those rare gigging musicians who has chosen to tour and record on the tenor (four-string) guitar. On April 25, 2012, The Fretboard Journal filmed Embry in Seattle, Washington. It was a nice day (a rarity in Seattle), so we went left the confines of our office for a Cuban food run and found the perfect beach setting for a mini-set of music. Embry performed four songs on his Custom Kraft tenor guitar. Aaron Embry’s website: weareeachother.com/ Learn more about The Fretboard Journal at www.fretboardjournal.com
